Challenging the current trend of virtual congresses due to the Covid-19 emergency, the 4th Autumn Congress edition of the Swiss Society of General Internal Medicine (SSMIG-SGAIM) was held at Palazzo dei Congressi last 18 and 19 September 2020, in full compliance with safety regulations. "Medicine in movement" was the title chosen for the Lugano edition.
Thanks to the protection plan developed jointly by SSMIG and Palazzo dei Congressi managers, it was possible to organize an event of great importance for the Swiss Internal Medicine sector, with live attendance of the participants, albeit in full compliance with National healthcare measures.
Along the two congress days, also thanks to simultaneous translation into Swiss national languages, more than 500 participants were able to easily follow the various sessions including 46 workshops, 16 Updates and 4 main lessons.
