But that's not all: the collaboration has been strengthened with the creation of a customised water bottle, designed specifically to promote the use of tap water in line with the City of Lugano's campaign “L’acqua del rubinetto è buona”.
What is the largest conference you manage and what impact does it have?
One of the most significant events supported by Bluwater was the ICML – International Conference on Malignant Lymphoma, with approximately 4,800 participants spread over five days and multiple venues in Lugano: Palazzo dei Congressi, Villa Ciani, Cinema Corso, Parco Ciani and USI.
Thanks to the installation of high-capacity dispensers and continuous technical support, Bluwater ensured an efficient water service, avoiding waste and simplifying water management at each location. Considering that other refreshment points not included in the count were available at the conference, the actual data for 2025 indicates a consumption of 6,500 litres through Bluwater dispensers, equivalent to 13,000 PET bottles saved. This is a great result that strengthens the sustainable collaboration between Bluwater and Lugano Convention & Exhibition and, in turn, with conference organisers.
