What does EVENTMORE do and how is it connected to the congress industry?
EVENTMORE is a Ticino-based company specialized in event and congress technology that has been supporting public and private organizations for decades in the planning and implementation of conferences, trade fairs and institutional events. Our mission? To provide full technical support – from setup to AV systems and logistics – always with a focus on innovation and sustainability. We are a trusted partner for major international events such as the ICML (International Conference on Malignant Lymphoma), held in Lugano at Palazzo dei Congressi. With 4’500 participants it’s one of the biggest congresses hosted in Ticino.
How important is sustainability for your company and in your sector?
For EVENTMORE, sustainability is not a slogan, but a way of working. The events sector naturally involves the use of temporary structures and materials. That’s why we are committed to designing every phase of an event – from planning to dismantling – with an eye to reuse, waste reduction, and material recovery. Together with Lugano Convention & Exhibition, we believe in concrete environmental and social responsibility, which we apply daily through thoughtful choices and small but meaningful actions. It’s a mindset we share with clients and partners to rethink events as opportunities for long-term value.
Can you give an example of sustainable best practices?
At the 2025 edition of ICML, we chose to donate all leftover carpeting – still in excellent condition – to the communities of Vallemaggia, severely affected by the 2024 flood. The material will be reused in local reconstruction sites. This simple but concrete gesture reflects our philosophy: giving new life to resources, helping those in need, and reducing our environmental impact. It’s not just about recycling – it’s about transforming post-event leftovers into something useful. Every detail makes the difference.
