The MEM Summer Summit 2021 Forum, held in hybrid mode at Università della Svizzera italiana, has just ended. To be highlighted the presence of Federal Councilor Ignazio Cassis and Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi.

Open-ended debate

The MEM Summer Summit 2021 Forum, organised by USI - partly in the Aula magna of the Western Campus of Lugano and partly online - with the support of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, brought together political personalities, representatives of the institutions, entrepreneurs, academics, intellectuals and artists, who debated the major open issues in the Middle East Mediterranean region: from geopolitical configurations, to religions, economic dynamics, food systems, up to the role of cinema to promote new narratives of the region. The thematic sessions were held online in both English and French, with simultaneous translation into Italian.
